Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing Wanderkin, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Community Guidelines.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not create an account or use Wanderkin.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Wanderkin.

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account. Do not use Wanderkin if you are legally prohibited from using social networking or travel community services in your location.

Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens through your account.

• Use one account per person.
• Do not share your login credentials with anyone.
• Do not create accounts for other people.
• Do not impersonate another person, organisation, or Wanderkin staff.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Wanderkin in a way that protects the community and complies with the law.

• Follow the Community Guidelines at all times.
• Do not use Wanderkin for illegal activity, harassment, hate speech, threats, scams, spam, or exploitation.
• Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, crawl, automate, or interfere with Wanderkin or its systems.
• Do not attempt to bypass moderation, verification, subscription access, security controls, or rate limits.
• Do not upload malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, or use Wanderkin to harm other users or the service.

Content ownership

You own the content you add to Wanderkin, including your photos, profile text, feed posts, messages, and meetup content.

By posting or sending content through Wanderkin, you grant Wanderkin a limited licence to host, store, display, reproduce, moderate, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.

We do not sell your content.

When your account is permanently deleted, your profile, photos, messages, and account content are deleted from active systems. Some public or community content, such as city feed posts, may be anonymised instead of deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Verification

Selfie verification is required to participate fully in Wanderkin.

You agree to complete verification honestly and to submit only your own image and information. Providing false verification information, impersonating someone else, or attempting to bypass verification is grounds for immediate suspension or permanent ban.

Subscriptions

Wanderkin may offer Premium subscriptions or other paid features.

Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple, Google, or another app store payment provider. Pricing, free trials, renewal terms, cancellation, and refund eligibility are shown at the point of purchase and are governed by the applicable app store terms.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID, Google account, or the relevant app store account settings.

Wanderkin does not process payment card details directly. Refunds are handled by Apple, Google, or the applicable payment provider according to their policies.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Account deletion includes a 30-day grace period. If you log back in during that period, you may cancel deletion. After the grace period, deletion is permanent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, safety rules, payment rules, or the law. We may also restrict features, remove content, or preserve limited records where needed to protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

Disclaimers

Wanderkin is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to make the service useful and safer, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.

We do not guarantee matches, messages, friendships, meetups, travel outcomes, or the safety of in-person interactions.

Users are responsible for their own decisions when communicating with others or meeting in person. Meet in public, use your judgment, tell someone your plans, and report concerns promptly.

Wanderkin is not responsible for the conduct of users online or offline.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wanderkin and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wanderkin total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to Wanderkin in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

If a dispute arises, contact us first at legal@usewanderkin.com so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot resolve it informally, disputes will be handled through the courts or dispute resolution process available in the governing jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service as Wanderkin changes. If we make material changes, we will notify users by in-app notification and email where appropriate.

Continued use of Wanderkin after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using Wanderkin and delete your account.
